Southsea Post Tenancy Carpet Clean & Stain Removal

On Monday 5th December 2016 we undertook a post tenancy carpet clean for a customer in Southsea. We professionally cleaned all carpeted areas which included a lounge area, a bedroom area, a small hall, a landing area and a traditional staircase.

There were a few stains and quite a lot of through traffic dirt on the stairs especially. Once we had finished all spot staining had been removed. Our customer remarked that the carpets were cleaning now than when they moved in, so no excuses for landlord deposit reductions!

As we do on all our carpet cleaning jobs, we finished the process by applying a deodorising and fragrance finish – Our customer commented on the fact they didn’t need to purchase air freshener now as the carpets smelled so good!

Our professional Hospital-Grade HEPA vacuuming really helps to remove all loose and surface dirt from deep within the pile. Once we have completed this step the carpet is ready for the start of the cleaning process. We begin by applying a pre-clean treatment to the carpet. On heavily stained or very dirty areas we also agitate this solution in to the carpet pile.

Spot Stain Targeting

The next step of the cleaning process is to treat and tackle any individual stain. We have some videos of this work on our facebook page – www.facebook.com/wowcarpetcleaningUK – For this particular job we had a number of unidentified red stains (possibly red wine/blackcurrant) and a couple of darker stains. The process for us when treating stains is to identify the likely cause and then to choose the correct specialist cleaning product to tackle the stain.

We target the stain with a specialist fluid & agitation and then use our truck-mount system to fully clean and remove the stain. As you can see in the video, the red staining in particular took a number of specialist cleaning attempts before we were able to fully remove the staining.

Once all spot stains on the carpet have been treated (we can remove nearly all stains – the only ones we may struggle with are ones customers have tried to treat themselves with chemicals that aren’t suited to the stain type or carpet type, as this can lead to permanent staining of the carpet fibre), we then use our powerful truck-mount cleaning system to fully and deeply clean the carpet with a full wash and hot water extraction.

It is worth pointing out that our machine costs around £25,000 – it runs on specialist RO (reverse osmosis) water. This purifies the water and removes all the natural hardness of the local water supply. By using a purer water we are able to attract and extract more dirt, and we leave your carpet feeling softer than if cleaned with non treated, hardwater from your tap! Our clean is far superior to any DIY or home carpet cleaning and unlike a generic carpet cleaning solution, by pre-treating and targeting stains first, we have a much higher chance of providing you with the cleanest carpets!

Deodoriser & Freshener Spray plus a Final Carpet Pile Brush

Once the carpet is fully clean we will apply a specialist deodorising and freshening solution, before giving the carpet pile a final brushing. This helps to eliminate any unwanted smells, and to leave your carpets and rooms smelling fresh! We have a number of fragrances to choose from including a “fresh air” smell for those who only want a deodoriser and not a noticeable fragrance (a popular option with our commercial clients such as hospitals and nursing homes!).
